Canton Fair Recap | Backed by SuperTech, SuperVIG Connects Energy-Efficient Glass and Appliance Design with Global Market Needs

On October 19, Phase 1 of the 140th Canton Fair concluded. SuperVIG®, a subsidiary of SuperTech (Fujian SuperTech Advanced Material Co., Ltd., stock code: 688398), joined its parent company at Booth 4.2K07. The team discussed applications of SuperVIG® Vacuum Insulating Glass and Color Crystal Glass in home appliances with visitors from China and abroad.

Over the five-day event, glass samples provided a starting point for discussions. Visitors examined appearance, asked about processing methods, and discussed applications, while the team explained product structures, performance, and manufacturing capabilities. The discussions covered uses ranging from thermal insulation in transparent components to decorative appliance panels.

01 A Closer Look at Products and Applications

Visitors from various countries and regions stopped to examine the glass displays. Some focused on insulation for transparent doors; others studied the texture and gloss of Color Crystal Glass panels or asked about processing and customization for different appliance categories.

Physical samples made several issues easier to evaluate: how colors and textures appear, how glass edges are designed, and how the products fit into an appliance during installation.

These discussions connected material characteristics with customers’ actual products and laid the groundwork for sampling, selection, and technical confirmation.

02 SuperVIG® Vacuum Insulating Glass:

Exploring Energy Efficiency in Transparent Components

Wine cabinets and display refrigerators must show their contents while limiting heat transfer through transparent components. Appliance designers need to consider visibility and insulation together.

The SuperVIG® Vacuum Insulating Glass on display uses a vacuum cavity in place of a conventional insulating-glass cavity to reduce heat transfer. It also features proprietary dual-seal technology, offering an option for transparent insulating components.

On-site discussions went beyond sample construction to cover glass dimensions, operating temperatures, and door integration. Customers gained a clearer understanding of the product, and the team discussed further evaluation based on specific requirements.

Glass applications must be coordinated with the overall appliance design. Face-to-face discussions helped both sides define their requirements and prepare for further integration work.

03 SuperVIG® Color Crystal Glass:

From Visual Design to Everyday Use

Appliance panels are seen, touched, and cleaned every day. Color and texture shape first impressions, while processing and durability affect long-term use.

SuperVIG® Color Crystal Glass offers different colors, textures, and surface finishes for appliance design. Visitors inspected samples and discussed panel requirements for refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, gas cooktops, sterilizing cabinets, and microwave ovens.

With its own production line, SuperVIG® offers both high-temperature and low-temperature screen-printing processes, considering the intended appearance alongside the operating environment.

Appliances within one product line need a coordinated appearance, but different categories have different temperature, cleaning, and contact requirements. Discussions therefore covered not only colors and patterns but also tests for coating adhesion, hardness, chemical resistance, abrasion resistance, and aging resistance.

The discussions helped clarify the value of customizing SuperVIG® Color Crystal Glass, from how a sample looks to how it works in the finished appliance.

04 A Broader View of the Group’s Product Range

At the Canton Fair, SuperTech also displayed conventional Vacuum Insulation Panels, Yinlin® Ultra-Thin Vacuum Insulation Panels, Yujia® VAP Metal Vacuum Insulation Panels, and various vacuum insulation composite materials, door assemblies, and insulated boxes.

Displaying glass and vacuum insulation composite materials together allowed customers to review options for internal insulation, transparent thermal barriers, and exterior decoration based on the needs of the complete appliance.

Drawing on SuperTech’s technical expertise and manufacturing platform, SuperVIG® continues to develop glass products, processing methods, and quality management practices, combining group resources with its own product capabilities to support customers’ applications.

05 Thank You for Visiting. Glass Innovation Continues

Although the fair has ended, the needs and ideas raised during the discussions remain important. SuperVIG® looks forward to confirming specifications, reviewing samples, and evaluating applications with customers so that discussions at the booth can lead to practical development work.

Thank you to every customer and partner who visited the SuperTech booth and showed interest in SuperVIG®.

Backed by SuperTech, SuperVIG® will continue to connect appliance energy-efficiency and design needs through Vacuum Insulating Glass and Color Crystal Glass, working with global partners to explore further glass applications.
