glasstec 2026 Live Update | SuperVIG Glass Displays Draw Visitors to the SuperTech Booth

At the thermal insulation comparison display, visitors tried the demonstration and listened to explanations. At the glass displays, they examined samples and spoke with the team. Discussions at the SuperTech booth focused on building energy efficiency and appliance appearance.
glasstec 2026 opened in Germany on October 20, local time. SuperVIG® joined its parent company, SuperTech, at Hall 10 / Stand B85 and met with visitors from around the world, displaying four categories of glass products.

Visitors asked about glass construction, thermal and acoustic insulation, colors and finishes, and operating conditions. The displays provided concrete examples for different needs and gave visitors an overview of SuperVIG®’s product range.

Understanding Vacuum Glass Performance Through Demonstrations
The thermal insulation comparison box provided a way for visitors to observe glass insulation performance. Together with product explanations, it helped show how the glass reduces heat transfer and which building applications may be suitable.

The SuperVIG® Vacuum Insulating Glass on display has a U-value below 0.42 W/(m²·K) and a weighted sound reduction index (Rw) of at least 42 dB. It provides thermal and acoustic insulation options for residential buildings, hotels, and offices.
The vacuum status inside the glass can also be checked. An optional ultra-thin high-vacuum sensor chip can be installed discreetly at the glass edge. A dedicated instrument scans the chip to read the vacuum level, while its unique identification code and linked QR code support status checks and performance-data traceability.

From thermal insulation demonstrations to vacuum readings, SuperVIG® showed both product performance and information that users can verify.

A Closer Look at TPS Insulating Glass Edges
Customers consider both overall glass performance and structural details.

SuperVIG® TPS Insulating Glass uses a thermoplastic spacer to reduce linear heat transfer at the edge and incorporates a designed sealing structure. Applications include residential renovation, commercial spaces, and green buildings.

Physical samples clarified the relationship between spacers, edge seals, and glass configurations. Window and door manufacturers and project customers also discussed frame compatibility and whole-window performance targets for future configurations.

Examining Composite Glass Applications Through Structure

Glass selection should consider project requirements for thermal insulation, acoustic performance, and overall thickness together.

The SuperVIG® Vacuum-Insulating Composite Glass on display combines vacuum glazing with an insulating glass structure, offering a configuration option for buildings with higher performance requirements.
Examining the physical samples made discussions of structure and installation more specific. For ultra-low-energy buildings and similar projects, customers could discuss glass configurations and compatibility with window, door, and curtain wall systems.

Colors and Textures, Durability and Cleaning
At the SuperVIG® Color Crystal Glass display, color, texture, and surface finishes offered a direct way to assess the product.

SuperVIG® Color Crystal Glass is intended for decorative panels on refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, and kitchen appliances. It supports Pantone color matching, small-batch sampling, and the transition to mass production. High- and low-temperature screen-printing processes can be selected according to design goals and operating conditions.

Panel appearance needs to be evaluated on the complete appliance, while suitability for use also depends on surface performance. The coating on relevant products has a Mohs hardness of at least 6, shows no corrosion after 24 hours in a 5% acid or alkaline solution, and achieves ISO Class 0 in the cross-cut adhesion test for high-temperature enamel.

With its own production line and tests for appearance, adhesion, and stain resistance, SuperVIG® considers both visual design and durability requirements when working with appliance customers.

On-Site Discussions Continue, Along with Application Partnerships

The four categories of glass products showed SuperVIG®’s work in building energy efficiency and appliance design. Demonstrations and conversations brought product capabilities closer to customer needs.

Drawing on SuperTech’s expertise in vacuum insulation, SuperVIG® will continue developing glass products and application solutions with global partners, exploring further project opportunities.
